And Then I Was 21

Must have been sometime in Berlin
or just one of those many weekends
he might've sinned, yeah he must have since
gone home.
Here's the kicker, well, by now he knows.
It makes me feel so bitter as I'm on the phone
with the man who's learned, the man who's not sure
if I'm with my kind. The life in a pond below.
They'll find stones where organs go.
She seems in love, she'll need a gun.
She sleeps so sound with me face down.
She breathes and feels so warm, but we're in cold.
But wait, I may come up. So please don't let me drown.
When you're dead it'll be you instead.
And I'll piss on your many pieces, well
I'm vindictive. This patience I'm owed.
Plays me oh so simply, my children my songs are not
sold for cash it's the currency of last July
that I'm at. With words at the tap that were
meant for a man, who's thirst made him crack.
But his lips wouldn't move, no, he couldn't talk back
as whole.
Tempt two souls and his bones corrode, I suppose.
She seems in love, she'll need a gun.
She sleeps so sound with me face down.
She breathes and feels so warm, but we're in cold.
But wait, I may come up. So please don't let me drown.

Teevee Ghost

I'm a ghost oh can't you see?
Won't you come down looking for me
By the sea, I'm by the sea
I feel alone with the mud on my knees
But maybe if we get too close
I got a feeling you already know
That baby, we fell a little short
Or that it's better to be alone
I can see that I can't see
What's a life when there's thousands of me
By the screen, sat by the screen
What's a love that lasts me a week
But maybe if we get too close
I got a feeling you already know
That baby, we fell a little short
Or that it's better to be alone
Alone.

Can We Do Something Else
04:11
|
|||
Good bye, bad vibes.
Listen to reason, your demons are just
not mine. That's right.
Relieved that I'm not in pieces in
your life. Instead
I'm loving the lights you put up above your bed.
And maybe when I need you, you'll call me first instead.
My life's no mess.
Just moments of high class entertainment that I play for my friends.
They ain't got much more than I'd need them to know.
I can stand.
"I will always love you"
"Yeah, right"
(And a bunch other incoherent nonsense in the outro)

20th

Oh pretty people how they like to socialize
like they've got their shit together
hidden well behind a smile.
We might be broken or at least we're paralyzed
while we sit around discussing ways
to throw away our lives
But I'd like some time to think things over.
We work real hard and it's not enough,
and lately I've been sleeping longer
but late at night I still wake up
Cause I can't even write you anything
out of fear I'll get it wrong.
You said it's fine I can't say anything
I've been feeling all along.
But I'm me and you're you, nothing's new.
It seems like always we are prone to be alone
and the ones who say they love us
are exhausting to ignore.
We have our reasons and a ride that no one boards
because the drive that once had hit us,
won't ignite it anymore.
It's like the weather, you can silently demand her.
But the skies do as they like and so
the timing's never right.
Don't think I'd never realize that your endeavors
are as one and the same
as these needs I can't explain.
So I'd like some time to think things over.
We work real hard and it's not enough,
and lately I've been sleeping longer
but late at night I still wake up
Cause I can't even write you anything
out of fear I'll get it wrong.
You said it's fine I can't say anything
I've been feeling all along.
But I'm me and you're you,
on a limb that will fall through, and I know
that I'm not right.
It's the doubt, that makes it fun to try.
